He called on the people of Okposi and Ohaozara in general to support Chief Ogbonnaya Nwifuru to emerge victorious in the next year’s general election.
“And to Okposi community and Ebonyi state, I present to you, the next governor of Ebonyi state in the person of the speaker of Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Chief Ogbonnaya Nwifuru.
“We, Ebonyi south people must reward the people of Abakaliki. When it was the turn of the South, Abakaliki man was contesting, but the Abakaliki people said no, we stand on justice, equity and fairness. And that is why we are in peace in Ebonyi state.
“That is why we have development in every part of the state. That is why we have projects going on and it will continue to go on until the last day of my office, which is May 29, 2023.
“So, it is time to reward them. And I want to thank the people of the South who insisted that rotation should start from the North, so that when it becomes their turn, let everybody know that it is the turn of Ebonyi south.
“I think on this platform we should be able to draw the charter of equity, rotation of political powers in Ebonyi state”, he said.
In a tribute to late Onyiba Igweomoke, governor David Umahi described him as a great man, peace maker who brought development to Okposi community and kept his family together.
He called on the children to always uphold the good legacies left behind by their late father, Onyiba Dandy Igweomoke.
