Abuja: The Buhari Friends Organization Network has called on President Buhari to ensure that none of the current ministers gets a chance in his plan to expand his cabinet.
The group further urged the President to see to it that decampees from other parties are not included into his government.
Speaking in Abuja on the occasion of the 55th Assembly of the group, the National Coordinator, Saint Okon also called on the President to remove any aids, chief executive of government agencies that have negative controversies as well as corruption allegations.
He urged the President not to delay in integrating young and dynamic men and women into his cabinet as well as other agencies of government, particularly those who worked in enthroning him as President.
He lauded Buhari for mustering the courage to disengage the former SGF, Babachir David Lawal from the position, saying that the decision reflected the wishes of majority of Nigerians.
Okon commended the President for the appointment of Barrister Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
“We have also resolved to thank Mr President for finding Barrister Boss Mustapha worthy to become the new secretary to the Federal Government, a demonstration of open adoption of the principle of putting a square peg in a square hole.
“We see Mustapha’s appointment as amongst the very few in this dispensation that command popular acceptance, considering his background politically and otherwise”, he said.
In her remark, the group’s Deputy National Coordinator, Farida Suleiman expressed optimism that the President will ensure more vibrancy in his government by appointing young people and women into his proposed new cabinet.
“The national women leader discussed this with the President at the last NEC meeting of the party. So I know that majority of the next set of people he will be injecting into his government would be young people and women” she said.
