The newly elected chairman of the Advertising Practitioners’ Association Abuja Chapter (APAAC), on Friday presided over the first executive meeting following the election of new executives to serve the association for the next two years.
The APAAC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Aliyu, is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Diamonds Resourcery Limited.
Others sworn-in alongside the chairman on Wednesday as members of the new executive team are Mr Bello Kabir as Vice Chairman; Mr Austyn Agabi, Secretary; Mr Aliyu Mudi Suleiman, Assistant Secretary; Mr Oru Leonard, Publicity Secretary; Prince Shola Rotimi, Social Secretary; Mrs Lilian Mann, Treasurer; Miss Patience M. Bissalla, Assistant Social Secretary; and Mrs Ethel Igboeche as Financial Secretary.
Speaking after the first executive meeting in Abuja on Friday, Mr Aliyu promised to grow the association to attract new members, promote professionalism, encourage entrepreneurship and networking among members to enable the association live up to its aims and objectives.
Earlier during the meeting the chairman presented his action plan to the Executive members for their deliberations and called for cooperation among the exco members so that the entire members of APAAC will see the vision of the team and the need to remain in the association.
Also in his remarks, the Vice Chairman, Mr Bello Kabir advised the executive members to relate closely with each other in other to achieve efficiency.
APAAC is an umbrella body for advertising professionals in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and the North Central of Nigeria, with a vision to be the leading advertising association that enhances the delivery of superior value to its stakeholders.
